How to use Herbes de Provence
Wrap the desired amount of Herbes de Provence (according to your recipes) using a square of
100% cotton cheesecloth, then tie into a bag with cooking twine.
Remove the bag before serving.
Ingredients for Herbes de Provence
2 tablespoons dried marjoram
2 tablespoons dried thyme
2 tablespoons dried savory
2 teaspoons dried basil
2 teaspoons dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
Directions for Making Herbes de Provence
Combine all ingredients into the bowl of a mortar and pestle.
Crush the herbs.
Place into a small airtight storage container and keep for up to a month.
Makes approximately 1/2 cup.
